I will be bringing my daughter there in may.

Does anyone know if the electrical sites accommodate a tent as well as a trailer. Most parks do but it would be good to know.

Also, any close by places to take her to shop for bargains?

Thank you,
Wayne

Think all the sites have electric and water and a few full hook-ups.

No the sites have electric but no water. You can fill up with water at the dump station. There are a handful of full hookup sites in the "D" section. Like others have said there is nothing close by for shopping, unless you want to go to RV Wholesalers and look at new campers!

There is a small flea market on the north side of the lake. A much larger flea market as well as some outlet shops is located on I-75 at exit 29 (about 2 hours from Indian Lake). I lived in the area for 12 years and camped over there an additional 5 years.

Think all the sites have electric and water and a few full hook-ups. One of our favorite parks. Good fishing and a great nature area, with guided tours, nice store and swimming area and playgrounds for the kids. Not much shopping or eating places but a few. There is a big RV place (RVW) close by if you need something.

Shopping is not a big deal. She did not ask, I was just thinking about taking her to one. She is in her 20s and loves to camp. So it is all good.

Lima is about 30 miles (to the mall) Dayton is about 55 miles to the malls. Probably OK for a rainy day, but not when there is good weather.

As a lifetime Ohioan that has been to Indian Lake, one question comes to mind. What did your daughter do to deserve such a punishment? ๐Ÿ™‚ Columbus is 50 miles SE of there. Lima is 25 miles NW. Those are the closest shopping malls. The area is pretty much farm country.
The Cowsills did a song about it in the 60's.
Retired and visiting as much of this beautiful country as I can.

Our family has been there a couple times last summer. They do accommodate tent and trailer. I don't know of any outlet stores, but they did have a flea market that was a little interesting. I guess it would depend on how old your daughter is and what kind of stores she likes. Have fun!

Hope this helps.
