Looking for RV campgrounds next to lake or slow moving streams. Want to be able to launch kayak from camp site, recreational paddling, no white water. Any suggestions?

Here is a list of the Corps of Engineers campgrounds for the various states. Quite a few of them are on lakes and other bodies of water.

I could tell you where , but ...
Then where am I going to camp ?
We have put on a thousand or two miles just searching for new campsites .
That is part of the adventure .
This is often without the trailer , and a cold weather season activity .

If you ever go to Branson, take a look at C.O.E. Campground MillCreek. The Park is 13 miles from Silver Dollar City and has Water and Electric sites on the water. Nice park that was rebuilt 3 yrs ago. 3 miles south of kimberling City.

Blackwell Island in Coeur D'Alene, ID is just what you're looking for. Bluewater Key north of Key West, FL is also good for kayakers.

Lake of the Ozarks SP. There is a loop with water front sites. It is on a quiet arm of the lake. No rip rap. The sites at the north end near shower house are pretty flat and easy access to water. A good area to explore in a small boat or kayak. Carlyle Lake, Eldon Hazlet SP in the far north section there are a few very small coves where people park their boats. You would have to carry your Kayak or tie it up there. That section closes at end of Oct. If you are not familiar with that park PM us and we can tell you what sites are close to those cove areas.

Almost every COE park in the US is on a body of water. We love staying in them and kayaking on the lakes. Check out their website.
