That happens to all of us all the time. I think most of us read right through it.

The RV parks might still be OK but gang fights are up 1000 percent in the casinos, it seems the new low hotel room prices are not getting the same vaccinators before this half fake covid lock down, young thug types are coming here every weekend and fights all over the place..

Its so bad that metro police are now doubling up patrols on the strips and at some local casinos..

Vegas is not the same anymore...

Yep... fights even inside the Casinos too! Nothing but class coming into the new Las Vegas

Stayed at LV RV Resort Nellis Boulevard for 3 nights at a great price and very comfortable = security excellent. Walked back and forth to Sams Town Casino, but as a woman one night coming back on my own felt very uncomfortable with a couple sketchy folks stopping and waiting for me to pass, albeit I slowed down my pace to try and avoid catching up to these guys. Upon finally getting into the CG, the lady offering drive me back to my site, said she advises all ladies to ensure they don't carry a purse or anything valuable in plain site at night along that stretch for sure.

Just sharing and saying, and I don't scare typically easily. We would stay there again, but I wouldn't feel comfortable walking in the dark back to the RV Park from the Casino any more, unless in a group of several together.

We also would recommend Las Vegas RV Resort on Nellis. It is a well-kept park which has good security. We have stayed there twice now. On our last visit, we walked to Sam's Town and walked the return trip after dark, but only once. We decided not to repeat this method and drove over & parked after that, both to be at Sam's or to catch one of the free shuttles from Sam's to downtown or the Strip. Nothing happened on the walk, but we did feel a little uncomfortable.
One piece of advice. If you do stay in that area of town, the park owners advise you to lock up bicycles and valuable things of that sort at your site.

We had a very expensive bicycle stolen off the back of our fifth wheel while there. The thievs cut through an inch diameter Cryptonite lock. Otherwise, good place.

Sam's Town is also our "go-to" Vegas destination. Always feel very safe there. They have a contingent of friendly "mounted" security people on bicycles who are always glad to escort you between the RV Park and the Casino. You will be fine!

We've stayed at that Sam's Town KOA enough times to make our go-to Vegas stop when on the road (as opposed to trips where we're specifically going to Vegas to stay on the strip and do all the Vegas things). Sam's Town is as nice as your RV is. It isn't really nice enough to unpack your chairs and sit outside, but it's also not so seedy that the boogiemen are going to beat down your door.

The slots in the adjacent casinos are pretty fun and they seem looser than the ones on the strip. Twice my wife "went next door to play a few nickels" while I cleaned up at camp and dumped the tanks and then she texted me to say she was "up" enough to pay for another night at the KOA and a decent dinner, so we extended our stay by a night. That's never happened for us when we're staying at expensive places on the strip where the rooms are pricy and the slots are tight.

Come to think of it though, we've seen some amazing coupons in the mail lately from the Wynn. They're really trying to get people back. Our last trip to Vegas before the pandemic shutdown was on one of those Wynn coupon trips and it was pretty amazing. I think it was two midweek nights for the price of one plus a free buffet.

Anyway, Sam's Town is a great stop ("good enough" for us) when we're in the RV.

I have stayed at Sam's Town many times and I feel safe in the RV park. Walking to the casino is fine.

Although if you are looking for trouble wandering the back streets of Vegas you will probably find it.
