Las Vegas

We will be traveling through Las Vegas on or around June 16 2021. It will most likely be hot that time of year. Do any of the Casinos have electrical hookups to run my AC and walking distance to the strip. This is only a one night stay .

We were in Vegas 2 years ago in late June. Circus Circus is at one far end of the Strip - you will need to Uber or Lyft to enjoy most other Casinos. Don't let anyone tell you different - it might be "a dry heat", or it might be "very low humidity", but 115' is still DAMMED HOT! The Vegas Strip is all macadam and concrete. No shade anywhere! It's too hot to walk very far at all! Just my experience.

My screwup it was 120 degrees etc just change the 2 to 1 and the record temps will be right.
We’re at Zion NP now 108 degrees for the highs to hot for most of the campers I’ve talked to.
Can’t wait to get to Bryce where it should be cooler.

Water boils just north of 200°. I assume you got third degree burns as soon as you stepped outdoors.

Well Bob it was 215 degrees at the turn of to Willow beach Marina and Campground at the Campsite it was 220 degrees. Very nice area tubing boating right on the Colorado river. I must say my Grand Design Imagine and Colman Mach AC did great. It had to be 215 inside trailer upon arriving 4 pm. By midnight it was down to 75 inside coach and still 110 outside. Not warmer, hotter. It was 99 at the turn-off down to the river. At the river it was 106.

JCK, that is a nice park. It was re-done several years ago. We have taken our kayaks to launch point there. Note the temperature when you leave US 93 and start down to the river. Then when you are down, look at it again.

The Oasis is worth the extra money. Nice, safe and very close to the strip for your Uber ride.

We decided to stay at Willow Beach Marina and camp ground. Just of 93 south of the Dam . We originally wanted to boon dock Wally World or a casino. A lot of the Walmart don’t allow overnight any more and security at the casino’s is questionable. Probably the biggest issue is the heat Avg. daytime temp in Vegas is 106 in June . We didn’t want to run our portable Generator all night and take the risk of having it stolen . So we opted for the campground with hookups .

PS this area was half way between Flagstaff and Zion and just a overnight stop
