Hi, looking for a rv park on the east side of Memphis off of 40.
It is just for an overnight stop with the MH.

While I think Tom Sawyer is likely "worth it", I personally wouldn't consider it if you are simply doing n overnight and looking for east side of town. Agricenter is likely what you need.

Now, if you can rearrange your trip and stay more than just overnight.., yeah, go to Tom Sawyer. (It's on my list eventually).

You do NOT want to be on the west side if just overnighting... In my opinion,

We'll be there mid-May for a 5 night stay. Hoping to listen to some blues and have a couple of beers. We'll sit and watch the barges and walk the dogs along the River.

DW wants to visit Elvis. I am a Beatles kind of guy so the plan is to drop her off at Graceland in the morning & pick her up in the afternoon. That way I won't be hovering over her saying "He's dead. Lets go."

Was thinking about the Graceland RV park but spending a day watching the boats go by sounds more appealing. So, a change it will be. Thanks.

I will be attending a convention in downtown Memphis in Aug., where is the best location to pull in a 35 ft MH for access downtown with bus service to the dt area?

X4 on Tom Sawyer CG.

Just make sure you use THEIR directions to the CG. Do NOT let your GPS guide you in! It will take you thru an area that no RV'er or MH should ever drive thru!

Don't ask me how I know. :W

And make sure you check the top of their website for weather/river conditions. When the old Mississippi raises the CG gets flooded. I was there just after a flood and it took out the first 4 rows. Giant logs and debris and tons of mud all over.

I parked in the back and watched those owners clean it all up in record time. It was amazing. Within 2 days I was able to move up to the front on the river. Watching the magnificent barges never gets old especially at night. :C

The Memphis Agricenter RV Park is about 5 miles south of I-40 on 177.

Love Tom Sawyer, make plans to stay an extra day and enjoy those river barges passing close enough to touch.

Even if only for one night - if you have not camped along the Mississippi River - Tom Sawyer RV park in West Memphis ARK is delightful night.
