Minot ND suggestions.

Day 3 of my trip to Ak will likely end in this area, and would like elec and water for this stop. Day 4 will likely be in a rest stop shy of Edmonton, so I'd like to fill up. Allstays shows a few, but all seem to be connected to a bar, full of residents or construction workers. Any suggestions welcome..thx

The way we said it: "Why not Minot?" "Freezin's the reason!"

Depending how far away you are willing to be from Minot, you might consider the COE areas around Lake Sakakawea. The Downstream Campground is probably the nicest.

That made me laugh. I was just a kid but spent a little time in North Dakota. My first reaction was "keep driving..." too.

But just because of the weather!

I lived in Minot for a while when I returned from living overseas. It's a horrible place in my opinion but the people are nice.

Since you are just passing through I'd just stay at the Wal Mart for one night and go on to Canada the next day.

Swensons RV Sales has an RV park that is right on the road and is easily seen. But whether they do nightly rentals I don't know. They seem to cater mostly to the Oil Workers. And the rates in Minot are High.

On the west side of town on Hwy 2/52 is a Flying J which has lots of room for RV's without impinging on Truck Parking. I think they also have a dump. (but not sure)
