Moosehead Lake Maine

I'm considering a trip to the Greenville Maine area fishing for brook trout in the Roach River. Would like to have any information possible on Campgrounds, and the fishing in that area. I will be in my MH without a toad so will not have any transportation to and from the rivers. Primitive camping is no problem.

Wife and I stayed at Balsam Woods campground a few years ago and enjoyed our stay there. It is about 30 minutes or so south of Greenville in Abbot.

"The Birches" have a couple of sites at there marina which is right on MooseHead lake.
