We were at Seven Points a few weeks ago, spent 7 nights there. Most of the spots are nice, just a few that you might have to level up a little. It is about 20 miles from where we live. All mentioned will be about the same distance to the Franklin area.

The KOA has lots of different site types depending on how much you're willing to pay. There are 3 or 4 campgrounds all in the same location. They actually border each other. KOA, Two Rivers and Jellystone as I recall. They all have their proponents. It is a very convenient location with Opryland and the giant shopping center just down the street.

Does anyone know anything about the KOA on the north side? Not our usual style but t appears to be the closest(30 minutes according to Mapquest).

Seven Points is on the east side of Nashville but worth the drive. It is a beautiful COE campground. You will want to reserve if you decide to go there as it is very popular. We will be there for 9 days in mid-July!
