Quartzsite vs Yuma, Az ???

Hi all......so we finally decided we wanted to go to "Q" this year BUT now I hear that "Q" may not be the place to go and that "Yuma" is fast becoming the New location to find all things RV related? I just did a "search" for info on Yuma RV/Tent event, but really didn't get any meaningful results. We have been told by those staying here in Parker, Az that "Q" is old news and that we should go to Yuma for the RV deals/bargains. It appears that Yuma's Big Tent event is an on going thing through-out the winter months?

In case your wondering, theses are all question since we are scheduled to be in "Q" next week......Thank you for any input you care to share regarding "Q" vs Yuma?

Go to Quartzsite and if you don't like it go to Yuma, they aren't far apart.
For the last 5 years or so I've been hearing how Q is on it's last legs yet every year there are thousands of people there spending money. Is it as big as it has been? Probably not, but still big enough, and still fun.

Yup.
Yuma has more walkers, wheelchairs, colostomy bags, canes, etc than just about any other city in the good old USA...:)

Q is fun in its own way....Since Yuma is an "on-going" thru the winter months, why not try out Q for the events and then move on to Yuma? IMHO, Yuma is too yuppie and too much traffic for me...:) I like the laid back feel of Q.

I couldn't care less about the politics, I go to Q for the music jams. I think where you go is highly dependent on what you go for. The free/low cost camping is way more available at Q.
