RV Park Recommendations / Overnights

I'm going to be working out of my camper the months of March / April.

One or two night stops in the following areas:

Eastern PA
Baltimore /DC
Richmond VA
Raleigh
Charlotte
Atlanta
Daytona
Miami

I've heard about some type of club you join and folks let you stay in their yard? I'll be away from the camper trailer all day as I'm visiting with clients. Would it be safe to leave my camper at a strangers house?

Any other ideas you might have on how to accomplish this adventure would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Depends where in eastern PA you're looking, but as already pointed out not much will be open around here until April 1 or after. Otter Lake has been mentioned. Lazy K in Boyertown/Bechtelsville is open year round but the owner has a reputation for his temper (or lack of control of same). There is a KOA in the Jonestown area off of I-78 that is also open year round. Finally, you may want to look in to Pine Hill near Kutztown/Krumsville PA also right off of I-78. I've often seen rigs & other activity going on there even when they are not officially in season.

You'll have better luck south of the Mason-Dixon Line before April 1. Happy hunting!

Greenbelt Park, just north of D.C. and east of College Park, MD, has a good National Park Service campground convenient to the Metro train and bus service. Reservations through recreation.gov are probably a good idea.

boondockerswelcome.com & HarvestHosts.com are 2 separate organizations that allow free overnight camping. Yes I have used both for the best camping experiences of my life.
boondockerswelcome costs $10 if you can return the favor or $20 if not to join for a year.
HarvestHosts is $40
I've been to all 50 States but my RV hasn't.

Pickins are slim for eastern PA. For March/April finding open CGs may be a problem.

For Baltimore there is a KOA on I97 SE of BWI airport.
For DC there is a county/municipal CG in Reston, VA.
For Richmond, VA there is a CG on the grounds of the raceway.

That is about my limit of local knowledge.
