Skunk train calif.

Has anyone done the skunk train,from Willits? Did you stay in Willits?
We have a 36'motorhome. On park reviews looks like KOA is the only decent park,don't like KOA.
We are Elks,thinking in Ukiah or fairgrounds may be better choice.

The Benbow Resort KOA is a lovely campground not far from Willits. It used to be a private resort and became a KOA within the last few years. We based there last spring on a trip to the Redwoods. Again, lovely park, on a golf course (I don't play) excellent restaurant a short walk away at the Benbow Inn, a historical landmark and really fine restaurant. We plan to return.

Are you planning to be in the area for a few days? If so, just go on across hwy 20 to Fort Bragg and stay. I recommend Pomo rv park which is just about a mile south of the junction of hwy 20 and hwy 1. If the train is running, it is a very long and boring ride from Willits to Fort Bragg. It's best to stay in Fort Bragg and take the half day trip to Northspur and back.
