Snowbirding in 2020

Hi, we are considering chasing the Canada Geese and tug the 5th-wheel south and enjoy warmer climates next winter. It will be winterized until we hit consistently plus-side temps so we will probably use motels along the route from Nova Scotia to Florida. Outside of the obvious concerns over snow storms and other definitely "off season" issues, does anyone have any tips to offer? I'm sure there are others who have made this trek at this time of year and I'd really like to hear of your experiences. Thanks in advance.

^^^ X2 this ^^^

If in doubt make a call. Been told more then once if there are cars in the lot there wonโ€™t be enough swing room to get out in the morning. I then ask for a recommendation which they are always more then happy to give.

We have traveled in our RV in winter conditions several times. Never stayed in a motel. Used bottled water. A bit of H2O in the grey and black tanks won't hurt.

Actually there were many CANADA geese at our home in Canada in late November in 2018.

We used RV antifreeze to flush the toilet and bottled water to cook and drink. Now if we take the RV we just leave in October.

make your campground/rv park reservations sooner rather than later.
