Can anyone suggest an RV park or recreation area around n. Ca. or southern Oregon that might be available over the aug 30 - sept 1 time. We are on a 5 week trip from Mi. and need to find a place during this time. No problems with campsites before and after but all state parks filled as far as I can tell. Private park OK. all advise welcome

Grants Pass Or http://www.moonmountainrv.com/ We've stayed here twice. Very clean. Doubt you would get a seat but the http://www.hellgate.com/boat rides are a blast. Good food also on the Brunch and Dinner runs.

Cave Junction Or http://www.lonemountainrv.com/

Brookings Or http://www.riverside-rv.com/

While Cape Blanco is 1st come 1st serve, we were there several weeks ago and it was almost full Friday night. And that wasn't a holiday. Only the outside spots are big enough for TT/5'ers, the inside ones are better suited for tents as most are 90 deg drive ins. A MH or TC would work on the inside ones also.

You might try Cape Blanco SP just north of Port Orford, Oregon. It is a first come first served park. It is roughly 70 miles north of the California border.

Valley of the Rogue state park between Grants Pass and Medford. Can be a bit noisy from I5 traffic noise, but usually not too bad.
