Wow! Bought at auction for $98,000. I wonder what his aircraft collection went for.

Notice the tires on the truck that nicely fill up the wheel wells and appear to be about the largest diameter that would fit within the wheel wells ... unlike the little tiny donuts that you see on most stock pickups and RVs today.

That kind of setup provides a high ground clearance for truck components while at the same time keeping the vehicle's center of gravity as low as possible.

When my brother married this last time, his next ex-wife's dowry included a well used but intact 1953 3800. Actually he got two of them but salvaged one, stupid s###, because it had a blown engine.

Can't get him to give/sell it to me to restore and use as a DD. Hardly ever driven off the 80 acres they had and looks great but needs paint and upholstery.
