The Texas Gulf Coast

We are considering a trip to the Texas Gulf Coast this summer. And yes, I do know it may be a little warm. We are thinking about starting at South Padre Island and slowly moving east. We are not sure how far we will go past Galveston, it just depends on how much we are enjoying the area we are in. We will probably stay in RV Parks so we can run the AC in our Fleetwood Excursion and use their swimming pools. We have a Jeep Wrangler TOAD to go out exploring. I am looking for some special places that should not be missed and the places that we should avoid. JH

Lots to see and do along the coast.
The USS Lexington in Corpus would be high on my list to redo.
But I spent some time on her sister ship, the USS Hancock, back in the day.
