TT and tent

Does anyone know if the COE campgrounds in Georgia will allow a TT and tent on a site? I don't see anything in the campground information. We want to do a family trip with my two married sons, we would be right at the number of people allowed on a site. Thanks for your help.

All the COE parks I have been to allow one RV and one tent. That's from Northern PA to NC. Check out Reserve.gov. they have a description and rules for each park.

Not sure about COE parks, but GA state parks allow one RV and one tent or two tents, but not two RV's on a site. Have done this numerous times throughout the years.

Maybe you should consider renting 2 sites.. then you have extra room for 3 families.. and extra picnic table, etc.. many campgrounds have buddy sites that they two share a common outside area.. I have also pulled in backward to site so that I could face someone I was camping with.

Where are you going? We have been to McKinney COE on Lake Allatoona many times with our TT and a tent for the kids. Like another poster mentioned, keep the tent on the gravel not on the grass or in the woods.

Only this, from the general rules of COE:

"Camping
โ€ขThe number of camping units per campsite varies and is set locally."

You will have to list specific campgrounds you are considering for the members here to help out.

Again, I would call the campground for current information to be sure.

You should call the park to be 100% sure. Rules can and do vary from COE district to district.

I host at COE campgrounds and the ones I have been in allow two camping units per site. We often see a travel trailer or other hard sided unit with a tent on the same site. Keep the tent on the site. Please do not erect the tent on the grass.

You should have no problem.
