Tucson to Zion in Mid-March?

Hi Folks,

We are really struggling with our spring break plans. One option is to go to Zion. I think I will be beautiful there then, and not too crowded. Question for the experts - do you think we will hit snow on the way there. Standard route goes through Flagstaff ...

I would go by the way of Phoenix and US 93 to Las Vegas. Just a few more miles, but at a much lower elevation and no worry about snow.
Then if time permits stop by Valley of Fire State Park, NV just north of Vegas.

No way to predict. Very occasionally over the last 20 years, we've gotten snow in Sedona as late as mid-April. I'd make your reservation (if needed) and watch the 10-day weather forecast when time gets near.
