Dayton KOA: Website

This is a well run beautiful commercial campground. We enjoyed our short stay here. It was a good home base for our planned excursion to the nearby Museum of the Unites Stated Air Force: Website

Stay: 8/2/2013-8/4/2013
Site: 29
Would we stay there again: Qualified yes

Pros: Nice staff, well maintained, lots to do for the kids, clean, easy overnight stop if you are passing through on I70.
Cons: Quite a bit of noise from I70, expensive, some sites are a very tight fit for larger rigs. Buried fire rings can make it hard to get a fire going. Poor(ish) cable, very poor Wifi.

If you are interested in my full amateur review and a few pics you can see it here.

Buck Creek is on my list for sure! We were pretty uptight about not having full hookups at first so we booked a few different places to get a feel for how we liked them. So far we've visited two commercial campgrounds and one state park with two more state park visits (Salt Fork and Old Man's Cave) on the schedule before we have to get everything winterized.

Of those three - Lake Hope State Park was my favorite so far and lack of full hookups (for Us) actually became part of the experience and wasn't a problem at all. I personally really liked the "wilderness", quiet, and the stars in the sky away from the city light pollution. Now... Those are my opinion. I think my Wife liked the SP as well but the kids... Well... That Train at the Dayton KOA was a hit! I could take them back there every weekend and they'd be perfectly happy! ;).

I'm already sad that school starts back soon and our camping days for the year are dwindling quickly. But at the same time we are super excited to get these "practice" trips in so we'll be ready for our big adventure next spring to Fort Wildernes and Disney.

It would be great if you put your review on RV Park Reviews and on Trip Advisor. Quite a few RVers depend on those two websites.
