It's a pretty sweet deal, though. You could just live in the park system the whole time ๐Ÿ™‚

Our state parks have the "off season pass" going on right now. $75.00 for the pass and good till March, use as much as you like? But $10.00 a day if you pull into site with any water or elec.

FYI, you have to be 62+ for this pass, sadly for those of us not there yet ๐Ÿ™‚

Yep, your right. Didn't even think about it.

When you do get old enough to get the passes you'll enjoy them.

Just for clarification, I don't see the "Explorer" pass that's discussed above.

I think that path1 is referring to the Discover Pass that's required to use Washington State Parks, Fish and Wildlife and/or DNR lands.

Or, maybe the State has slipped another "tax" into the system.

Thanks...my bust. I have no idea why I called it that.

There are very few if any good spots to boondock in W. Wa.

We find that most all of the DNR roads on the wet side are gated and they will no longer allow you in the tree farms.

Don't you also have a camper?

The places we go are the end of logging road type thing or DNR land. Many times a large RV's won't fit into many places we go. Our state parks have the "off season pass" going on right now. $75.00 for the pass and good till March, use as much as you like? But $10.00 a day if you pull into site with any water or elec. During the week not to many people there. Kind of fun to pay for a campsite for 1 night or overnight somewhere and check out the county museum etc and next night stay at different place, repeat till you've had enough.
