This is the biggest water park in the country. been going here since it opened in the late 70`s early 80`s? went over the weekend and found they are now charging $5 a car for parking. if that is not bad enough they took away all the shade for eating! they turned them all into Cabanas that cost extra to use for the day. so if you want shade you have to pay for it! I`m thinking we are not going back! Next thing they`ll do is take away the water fountains!

No surprises. It's the Dells. Classic tourist trap since long before the '70s. They are just doing what the Kalahari and Great Wolf Lodge have been doing for years. We do lots of stuff around the Dells, but avoid 90% of what's there because its all such a rip off.

My only experience with that place was 20 years ago....We just needed a stopping place for the night. We pulled into the KOA there, it was some unreal price, 5ft from a railroad track....We drove another 40 miles to find a decent campground.

The entire Dells area really is nice once you get past the tourist trap part of it. And yes the KOA is near the railroad. About 60-70 feet :B from the back of the sites along the road. Lots of other choices for a campground in the area. The Dells isn't a place you go to for peace and quiet! LOL

You are right not to go back.

Best way to protest is vote with your wallet, and don't go.

They will only charge what people will pay. If enough people do not attend, eventually it will affect revenue and management may just wonder why.
