I don't mean to hijack this thread, but I thought folks might be interested in seeing the shelves I added to our wardrobe. There are two shelves in the picture below. The shelves themselves are 1/4 inch luan plywood and are supported on 3/4"x1" support boards that run front to back and across the length of the back. These supports are screwed into the thin side and back walls with no glue of any kind. The front if the luan is reinforced with a strip of wood to prevent sagging. I installed these shelves 12 years ago and continue to be surprised that the screws are able to carry the load without pulling out of the thin plywood in the walls.

In addition to the shelves, the picture shows that DW packs to be ready for anything when we travel, whether for a week or several months.

FYI.. the supports are just somethign like a 5/8 inch board cut to 10 or 11 inches each. The shelf was just panel board, and the lip is meant for crown molding. All is held together with panel adhesive.

Not at all. that's why I post it here. This one is held together with panel adhesive, a kind of cement. Apply to both sides and let them dry a bit. Once they make contact, it aint moving without a lot of trouble.

Did something similar on our wardrobe slide as well. I used velcro to hold the supports in place. It has worked extremely well and can be converted to a larger space if need be. Our issue was there were no shelves for clothing, only a bar to hang everything.

You got it. All with panel adhesive. Works well too, considering they won't hold any real weight to them other than maybe some socks and drawers.
