Adding Bunk Beds to my Class A

We have decided to add some bunk beds in the rear slide out of my 2003 Georgie Boy Pursuit 3205DS. The rear slide out a large cabinet area w/drawers and a closet in it which I will remove to build to bunk beds there. I will also move the queen size island bed all the way over to the opposite side wall to add some walking space between the beds.

Here's some before pictures:

Great work! .... bet it feels good to step back and see something you wanted in front of you, and you did it all yourself. Looks like it will work out perfect for those added beds you needed.

We bought the 5" memory foam twin mattresses from Walmart. I cut them to size with a large bread knife. We used a pillow sham to cover the window. It comes on and off.

Just an update:

Got most on the Oak trim stained to match the wood in the RV. Looks better in pictures. Still waiting on the mattresses' I order to come in. Once they come in and I install them over the plywood it will look a lot better. Last picture is with the slide all the way in.

There were a lot of screw holes in the white wall paneling in the lower bunk area after In removed all the draws. Finished Oak wall panels are $86 a piece at All-Rite RV parts. So I opted for unfinished 1/8" x 24" x 48" oak panels for $10 a piece at Lowes. Trim them out with unfinished 1" x 4" solid oak (for that wainscoting look). Will stain them to match the RV wood work. Here's some pictures on the wainscoting (sorry poor quality camera and the upper and lower bunks with me a the DW on them. I will trim out the rest on the bunk in oak too.

Got the bed moved over. That gives me about 9" extra inches of floor space.

Moved the cabinets, draws, and closet today too. This area is 20" wide and 74" long. Most of the bunk beds I've seen are 28" x 73", I'm screwing (4) 28" long 2x4's to the wood floor. this will make the area big enough for a 28-30" bunk.

Got water tank moved. I had to reroute the water lines but that wasn't a big deal. Just used some 1/2" push on brass compression fitting.

After removing the rear bed and corner night stand I run into the fresh water tank. In order to move the bed all the way over to the wall I need to also move the water tank over alittle.
