Changing dinette from both to table and chairs

Hi. I have a both dinette but have a real problem getting up from it. Our friend has chairs and table. Has anyone switched them Around?

Could I keep the table and take out benches and put it chairs?

You have to consider how you will secure the now free standing table and chairs while in transit.

We removed the dinette on our 2005 Prowler. Haven't had a dinette since. We enjoy our table and chairs.

A friend just did this on a KZ. Carpet was complete under the booth so we just removed the screws from the floor and wall to remove it. The only way to tell the table wasn't from the factory was 2 screw holes in the side wall which isn't really noticeable.

Go to an RV dealer and look at units. Try getting in and out.

Our new unit has chairs and I don't find them any easier to get in and out of. Also, you lose a ton of storage.

The biggest question would be, what is under the dinette seats. In our currant MH, one is only storage with the carpeted floor, the other side has part of the fresh water tank coming up to fill half the space closest to the wall. By doing a work around, box or something similar over the water tank, the dinette could be replaced by a table and 2 or 3 chairs.
In our previous hybrid trailer, the fresh water tank was under one seat and the water heater, water pump were under the other seat, without losing most of the water system, you could not take out the dinette. However, that dinette table was on free standing legs, so it could easily be pushed to one side for easier entry/exit.
