Camping over the 4th with 105 degree heat was fun, but hot. I was thinking of adding another Dometic 9100 power awning on drivers side to help shade the side and keep cooler. May help in rain conditions as well with keeping some windows open. Boondocking or anywhere there was no shade.
This was one of the first modifications I made, besides window awnings. Has worked great when adjoining friend is in a backin site and I am on a pull in in. It gives me a place to cook other than main awning, but what it has been used for the most is grandkids toy/bike carport, otherwise stuff gets parked under main awning to keep out of rain or getting to hot sitting in sun
We have our big slide on the drivers side and it has a full awning over the slide. It is 14' long. Do coaches with the full wall slide have a bigger awning on that side? I have seen one like ours and then a seperate smaller awning over the bedroom window also on that side.

Driver side awnings have become relatively common on really high end coaches. You would be well advised to consult with the manufacturer to ensure that the structure is able to withstand the forces that may be generated by an awning.
