Can anyone with experience with Terry units please comment on this mfg and age unit as to quality and reliability? Considering purchase. It looks clean on the internet pix. I have a 3/4 ton Chevy Duramax to tow it so we're all right there.
Thanks!

We also have a 2002 Prowler fifth wheel. We have had very good luck with it. It is our first RV and the only real problems we have had was from our own lake of Rv experience.
Make sure you check the tires. find out how old they are. Tires only have a certain life span. If they are China made, at least make sure they are from a brand that you know. Not a "Good Ride" instead of "Good Year"
Check for any mold spots or water damage. If you can, have the owner take a hose and spray water all over it and check for leaks. I have actually heard that if you want to check out an RV, do it during a good downpour.
Make sure everything works. Try it all out. Water heater, Ac and furnace, slideouts, fans...anything and everything.
We were very lucky with our Prowler. We plan on keeping it for a few more years until I retire and then will move up to something else for longer trips.
Hope this helps some

Be sure to inspect the roof. Take a ladder with you. My present 5er I bought online. When we did the PDI I got caught up in all the excitement and neglected to inspect the roof. It was a leaker. Paid a pretty penny to repair the delamination on the sides and for a new roof. But we love the trailer. Been a good one since then.
Good luck, John

My son in law and daughter have Terry Dakota that they bought new. They don't use it much, but have had very little problems. It's a 2003 or 04. I had 2 Terry Quantums, and once we got through all the problems they were OK. Some of my biggest problems were with the Lippert frame. Couldn't put the axles on correctly. I avoid Lippert when I have a Cameo now with a much better frame,

We had a Fleetwood Prowler 2002 which I believe is the sister to the Terry Dakota...just different decals. The company is long out of business.

It was basically an entry level trailer.. and was OK.
But, you MUST go and look at it in person, not from pics on the net.
It's an old trailer, it will probably need tires and most important is searching very carefully for any signs of leaks. Even if it's a decent price, a leaker, past or present can bring you a lot of grief.

Good luck with it.
