Trying to sort a few issues and could use a schematic. Stereo section have 4 sets of speaker wires, and I can find only 2 in the unit. In main bedroom. There is A/AB/B switch but it has no affect on the speakers. It is wired up.

There is solar that looks to be factory, but no diagram.

Thor says no paper before 2013.

Any help or direction would be awesome.

If there is a schematic, you would have best chance searching for your exact model number, that should be on your stereo unit somewhere. Often times, but normally on a new RV, the speaker wires are done incorrectly. On a 2003 model someone should have made the correction, or possibly screwed up the original wiring, for a different purpose?

Speakers A likely closest speakers to unit, speakers B distant speakers, and AB setting SB for both sets of speakers.

Thanks for the input.

The unit had all the AV stripped from it before I came across it. What I am trying to find out is where the 4 or 6 pairs of factory prewired speaker leads go to. They leave AV bay in the main area and I only located 2 speakers in the main bedroom. There are no other speakers anywhere in the rig that I can find. The wires start in a lower bay/shelf, pass through an AB switch in an upper cabinet and then....nothing.

Some Rv's have speakers outside. Or it only has 2 speakers.

Maybe do a google search of your rv. Often if one is for sale they'll be pics of it, perhaps you can examine those to see where their speakers are.

I doubt if the solar was factory on a 20-year-old entry level trailer. Your best bet is to google the model number of the various appliances and start tracing wires. If is a crying shame what some people do to an RV in the name of customization. They need to stick to coloring in a coloring book.

Thanks for the info....

True. The solar is actually the only thing that even remotely looks factory. Very clean job.

We have a rather large contingent of RV'ers we run with and I am sort of the designated electrical/AV guy. Many people in my experience use the bubblegum and bandaid approach to installation to save a few $$$, then pay through the nose for diagnostic time on the backend to track down. Like the saying goes, "pay me now or pay me later!"

Doubt that a schematic would help even if there is one. These things are put together on an assembly and I can't tell you how many times I've found wires done improperly on the various RV's we've owned - especially audio equipment.

Your best bet is look up the specs on the head unit itself and understand the connections there and then to the splitter. Then you can correct or re-wire the way it's supposed to be and you'll know how it functions.

Pretty common for RV's owners to have to go back and correct things from the factory with little in the way of documentation to help. Nature of the beast.
