2017 Open Range Roamer

I'm looking at an 2017 Open Range Roamer 347RES, and a 348RLS. Wondering if anyone knows of the build quality. I like the look of this rig from the pictures.

Anyone know of what end of model year discounts would be?

The website has a 77% discount price crossed off with a "Special Internet Pricing" button, so we are talking south of that number.

Don't know if I want to change just yet, still like mine, but if the price is right??

Also wondering about their travel trailer models. Not sure if I want to go to a 5th wheel or not. I like the cap on my truck!!

Thanks for the info everyone! I like the point that trailers are still trailers and all of them can have problems in one way or another!

2012Oudoorsman: curious, where is the dealer you were working with that was good for you?

Didn't even see how close you were. We're about 90 min east of Binghamton. C Neer is where we purchased ours. They were really good but on top of that extremely knowledgeable. My first visit there was really just to feel the dealership out and see if I wanted to buy from them. Well 3 months later my camper was ordered.

Lerch RV is also really good from my short experience and does have great reviews. They were higher on price and about 4 hours further away. They do stock many more units so we ended up going there to see our camper prior to purchasing.

I own a 2014 open range roamer 367BHS, Id say it is much like a Montana as far as features and build quality. I have owned it one year so as you can tell I was not the original owner. It is still a camper though, I have had to do 2 slide out cable repair/adjustments. One came off and other one a nut fell off. The cable system is really simple if you take the time to learn how it operates, you tube videos are your friend. Other than that no other repairs after 7 trips over 5k miles this summer, total nights 32 this summer. I wouldnt be afraid of one at all and think they are equal to or in some ways better than other brands. Not saying it is better than a Montana just on the same level. Attention to detail as far as a design stand point is very good.

We just got a 2018 Highland Ridge Open Range OF374BHS back in July of this year. We 1st saw a 2017, but that dealership did not want to deal and the unit was really walked thru and probably at many shows and had a lot of wear and tear in the unit itself.

We got a great deal at the dealership where we got the 2018, had 3 more max air covers installed. The unit is amaizing, knock on wood, no issues at all. The thermasats are a little quirky, we are just used to the more manual ones from our other TTs and HTTs.

Really enjoy the self leveling system and my only switch would be have the 2nd awning buttons (LED light and to retract/extend) to be in the main control panel with all of the other buttons. But again, very minor.

They all have there positives and negatives. We do own a 2018 374bhs Roamer and have had it since May. We are quite happy with ours and have had minor issues. Our dealer is extremely picky and only sells models he'd personally buy. Small town dealer, the owner is the salesman and his wife does all the paperwork. He sells certain open range, KZ and Keystone products. He personally owns a KZ but said his keystone products have much less warranty items.

We my TT was a keystone and I had to perform quite a lot of work to keep it going and the dealer had a 3 page list after the first summer with it. I camp with someone who had to have their entire roof replaced in their KZ Stoneridge as well as stairs and work on the auto level. Another member of our group has a Jayco and multiple slide issues as it kept coming out when driving and his bedroom slide leaked.

At the time we were buying these were my top brands as I thought they were the better ones with 2 year warranties. I ordered my camper thinking I was getting a 2 year warranty but they changed it a month after I ordered.

At the end day shop for the best dealer and hopefully everything works out.

My son near Houston almost bought a 2013 OR TT until I found a leak in the bedroom with front wall damage. I then looked at same model at PPL with a leak in the same area. I also ran into a 2015 OR FW with the slide rotted out. I thought that the over all quality was probably similar to others but I'd look closely for potential water leak areas.

I'd think that the TT were leaking around the AC unit because everything on the roof looked good. The FW slide was probably wicking in water because of how they constructed it.

Thanks, I probably need that advice!!

I do love the Nash, it fits us perfectly!

But all those pretty pictures are so darn enticing. Why is it that the grass always looks greener.
