We are about to buy a newer truck. It will be a 2017 F350. We'll be pulling a Solitude which weighs about 12,650 lbs. empty. What hitch would you recommend for that setup?

I also have to say the B&W as I have one myself. Very easy to latch and unlatch, almost idiot proof 😉

B&W Companion, 3rd hitch. Smoothest, easiest to release; one hand slide the handle forward and drive out, no more yanking trying to get the jaws to release.

I have hitched with a CURT and unhitched, they can be a PITA if not on level ground. They are known to assist with chucking as the heads pivot point is several inches below the kingpin connection. Also if it matters all of CURT's 5er hitches are Made In China.

B&W can be hitched and unhitched with RV and Truck on different planes no issue. They are simple and solid with no question if your hitched connections. B&W's head pivot point is right at the kingpin's height. All of B&W's products are Made In USA.

With B&W be sure to use a 1/8" this slip plate, Hensley makes a quality one.

For the past 10 years I have had a Curt Q-20 hitch. Has been great. No problems at all.

Nice truck, nice trailer; get an air hitch to protect both. Smooth and comfortable tow would be a bonus.

I'd think it would have it, but if not, and that is the truck you want, the puck system under bed hardware can be purchased through Ford Accessories, and added.

Rule #1 -Don't EVER ASSUME anything.... It would have had to been ordered with the puck system...

I've had my B&W Companion (and Turnover Ball) since 2004. Built and works perfectly for me. I just need to remember to fully latch it in the future...

Been running my B&W for 5 years now and it's been flawless. Had a Pullrite slider in my shortbed Ram before that and it did well but I like the B&W better.

B&W makes an excellent hitch. If needed, I would buy another one in a heartbeat.
