Have a 2014 Montana 3625RE and did not order Generator prep from factory. My power cord is in the very rear. How hard is it to wire it for a generator? Would like to put a Honda in the back of the truck and have some way to power the Fifth wheel while stopped on the road. Thanks

Generator prep has wiring up into the inside- for remote starting and stopping. That could be a problem with trying to get wiring to remote switches.

There are some easy and safe ways to do this job with either a manual or automatic transfer switch and the proper inlet or just a power cord FROM the RV.
Don't be tempted to do this job half way.

I did mine by backfeeding the air condition breakers. I installed a 2 pole contactor in the front bin that closes when the generator is running. Need to make sure the cord connection is clear on the rear of camper before starting generator. I use the Champion 3100 with remote start which works well while inside the camper.
