In my KZ I want to store a few large flat items to the inside while traveling, Folded dog pen, folding table, folding chairs. I want to add a few rings or tie downs to accomplish this and use bungee cords to hold the stuff. Any suggestions on how to find the 'studs' or frame members? My initial thought is to add a 1x4 the length and attach to it....

Yep that's the normal response. I think all they do is build a jig and go from there. I lucked out and go some plans off the net for a Raptor but I didn't trust them. Wait until you have a cool morning dew on your RV and you can see the studs on the outside, then mark and measure.

a manufacturer doesn't have plans. now that is reassuring to any potential purchaser of a KZ unit.

when I bought a U haul type trailer, I had them install those horizontal bars/brackets that various fittings could fit into. any trailer sales place will know what I am talking about.

In my trailer I have used drywall anchors like this

Or a molly bolt like this

If my placement allows me to find a stud I do but sometimes the stud isn't where I needed to hang something.

Either ask the manufacturer for a framing plan for your model or use a stud finder!
