Sorry if this has been asked before.. I tried a search but couldn't find the answer..

So I have a 2017 crossroads volante 310bh and it is prewired for the furrion camera my question is can I buy a different camera/wireless monitor system and have it just plug right into the prewired furrion plug (other cameras are way cheaper then the fusion ones) or will i need an adapter as well? Thanks in advance!

Yuwei Rear Observation Camera

It was easy to install using the wiring that had been pre-installed for a Furrion system but is less than half the cost. The unit as a wide field of vision (~120ยฐ) and during a two hour trip at highway speeds (60mph) there were two signal drops that lasted about 1 second each. Other than that it has functioned flawlessly with good video picture quality.

Did you have to do any splicing or did it just plug into the existing furrion plug?

My $100 wired camera and monitor work great. Bought off Amazon and I ran the wire from my ladder (where the camera is) down and under the belly of the 5th to the pin and into my truck cab. I just unplug when at the campground and can use the monitor and wire for my TC when I have that (which has the same camera mounted). I know this doesn't help the OP because he has one already wired but it may help another trailer owner.

My Furrion Observation camera also works very well. Mind you, an observation camera is NOT the same as a back-up camera.

Back-up cameras come on when the TV is placed in reverse.
Observation cameras are on all the time....mine also needs the TV's running lights to be turned on first.

I tried a $100 wireless and didn't work very well. I think $300 not a bad price.

Not saying cheaper is better... I can't see spending $300 on a backup camera that's all...
