Bed cover for F350 with fifth wheel hitch

Hello,

Can anyone recommend a bed cover that will work on an F350 SRW crew cab with a 5th wheel hitch and a diesel bed mounted expansion fuel tank. Considering any fuel tanks at the moment that will work with any bed covers. I just want stuff out of sight when 5th wheel is not attached.

I have used soft tonneau covers before and they are OK. They just shake around a lot but this may be the only option.

I don't recall seeing if you had a Standard Bed or a Long Bed.
I have a Long Bed with a Roll 'n' Lock Cover, Combo 40 Gal Fuel/Tool Box and still a little space before my Comfort Ride Hitch. With the locking Tail Gate and the Cover locked things are out of site and pretty secure, well at least as best as they can be.

FWIW, I have the Bakflip Fibermax 4 section on my Ram std bed. When towing, 3 sections are folded and latched onto the 4th section. As soon as I unhitch, the bed gets covered up. Works great.

If needed, the fourth section can be folded vertically and held in place with a couple of rods which are part of the Bakflip design. might be difficult to find a fuel tank to fit under it.

Works awesome for me.

I have towed 3 different fivers with my Roll-N-Lock retractable cover.... What a nice option to have on the truck... When not towing, the cover is closed and mostly water proof. But more importantly, it locks. Out of sight, out of mind when it comes to thief's .

That's because you have a BakFlip - if you had a roll up cover, it would be a different story...

X2, I have a Bakflip folding cover and it makes it very difficult to hook up a fifth wheel

You can try a canister type of bed cover (google it). You might even find someone's youtube video where he had one installed and a combo tool-box/fuel tank installed that used the empty space under the canister. However I do not remember if he had a long bed or a standard bed.

You could also (if you do not already have the bed fuel tank) get the bigger OEM fuel tank replacement and not take up room in your bed.

Good luck!

Not sure about the fuel tank but I think they make Tri-Fold that will work. I have a roll up and it works great, but no fuel tank. The 5th wheel hitch is not the problem, I think they are all lower than the bed rails.

I think a bed cover is a must have for any truck unless you constantly haul trash or dirt.

I have used Access soft covers for many years. They are rugged, fit good, and easy to install.

I am anything but a weight cop, but I see you mention a bed mounted diesel tank. Just not going to work with your FW, and SRW!
