Best place to sell Truck and fiver

It's beginning to look as if our fifth wheel days are over. My wife has severe arthritis and cannot sit in the truck for more than an hour at a time. You don't get very far in an hour!
Have been looking at the best way to sell the rig.
I can find all kinds of places to sell the truck OR the fifth wheel, but cannot find one that will list the combination.
It really would make the most sense for someone to buy the entire rig as it it fully equipped and ready to go.
Have tried to sell just the fiver on Ebay. Got a sale but the buyer has simply disappeared after I told him he was not going to show up with a 1/2 ton truck, drop the hitch in the back of his truck and drive away!! He did not realise there is a bit more to it than that!
Resale on a truck with the hitch, a 52 gal tank, brake controller, etc is very limited in a non-RV situation.
Any suggestions?
(Mods, obviously feel free to remove this if it crosses the line as far as advertising is concerned. I have deliberately made no mention of price. I really am looking for suggestions.)

Sold the fiver and looking for a DP, but not in any hurry right now.

Great, I sold my Jayco bunkhouse today too. Craigslist worked for me.

You mentioned a DP . Have you looked into a dealer that would trade for both. At times you can find a dealer that does both rv and cars. Nowhere close to you but Demontrond in Houston comes to mind.

Consider consignment sale through a dealer. Also, camping world does consignment.

Sure wish you weren't so far away--we'd be over to look at it if you were closer.

I don't know who told you that you can't list them together on Craigslist. There are trucks and trailers listed together all the time on it. Whoever told you that is wrong. I suggest you list the combination under the "RV" section. Folks looking for an RV on Craigslist are not going to look in the car and truck section.
If I were to do a Craigslist search in our part of the country right now, I bet I could find 10 or 15 ads for truck/RV trailer combinations for sale.
Good luck on your sale.
Jeff

Craigslist is a great place to sell your "combo".

Also - Escapees forums has a "for sale" forum for all types of RVs and lots of potential buyers.

Have not tried the Escapees. That might be next!
Had two Ebay time-wasters, two Craig's list scammers (They would send their agent round to collect it - yeah, right!).
Got one response from the Craig's list ad that may work out. Guy took lots of pics and is going to talk to his wife.
Not holding my breath of course!!
Now I need to duck over to the Class A Forum and start picking their brains on what to avoid!!!

Just had the same thing going on with my truck and 5th wheel. Could have sold
the truck several times but not the trailer. Traded the trailer in over the Holiday weekend for a Class-A Gasser. Now will start on selling the truck . Not
the best way "dollar wise" maybe but was quick. Good luck . Now will not be to
funny if the truck doesn't move fast.

shame to give it up with all it took to get it together.

Good luck.
Thanks for that, I'll check it out.
Hoping not to give it up. Working on wifey to go for a DP.

Interesting!
My Craig's list ad is still out there under RVs. I got a nasty email saying I could not do that, but they did not delete my ad!!
So I'll let it ride as long as I can.
NOT going to post the link as I suspect that will push me into rule-breaking territory!

Two scammers so far, but it's pretty easy to sniff them out.

4WD knocks 300# of the payload rating!!
Never planning to drive in snow, plus 1600# of pin weight on top of the posi axle has been plenty for me.
