Birds and Trailer Hitch

Right now it's the time of year that birds build nest and lay eggs. Every year I have to remove the bird nest from under the FW hitch and tongue. Does anyone have any idea's to keep this from happening or putting something under there to keep them from building nest?

I have the same problem every time I walk by the pin box a bird comes flying out

We just left home from Biloxi to TX, went to turn on propane and found a nest with eggs so they get under the propane cover too!
