camper to bed rail clearance

Hi everyone my first post here. I have a durango 1500 and was hauling with a F350 long bed with companion with great clearance. I just purchased a 15 silverado 2500hd 2wd. I dont have the recommended clearance between the bed and camper due to how high the truck sits. I have my new e16 slider hitch on its lowest setting and not only does the trailer not sit level but there's about 4in of clearance. What can I do?

I dont want to beat up my new truck. I noticed by the leaf springs the is what seems to be a shackle with 3 holes. Will this raise the camper height? If so how do i do it. Im still new to campers so please forgive my ignorance. Thanks for any help.

Does it affect payload or how much you can pull? Thanks

What about drop shackles to lower the rear of my truck?

Thanks laknox. After looking my springs are already on top of the axles. So no flip needed correct?

Yes. If you have more holes in the spring hangars, that's a first step. You can add a Correct Track alignment system to gain about 2". I've seen others add heavier, longer spring shackles with cross-braces for a shorter lift. Beyond that, and you're looking at a sub-frame between the main frame and the spring shackles.

Have not had to do a flip, but I've heard that it's not that hard to do, if you want to DIY, but a decent spring shop shouldn't charge you a lot to do it for you; there are kits from the axle mfrs to do this. Also, if you have more holes in the spring hangars/shackles, move them to the lowest setting and, while you're at it, install a set of "wet bolts". A wet bolt kit gives you bronze bushings to replace the plastic OEM bushings, heavy-duty shackles and grease-able (wet) bolts to hold the springs. Most people report much longer life and some even say their trailers ride better.

IF I am reading correctly, this is what I had done to my trailer.

However:
Per manufacturer, this cannot be done with the Equa-Flex unless it is also lowered the same distance as spring shackles holes. Something about the "plane" of the axle. A good shop can do this quite easily and inexpensively.

Anyone know what steps I need to take to lift the camper using the existing adjustments? I must be wording it wrong because I can't find any information on it.

My trailer came from the factory with the springs already on top of the axel. I believe most new trailers come like this.

I have 2015 chevy HD as well. I ended up content with 1-2" nose high on the trailer. My trailer already has the axel flip and my pin box and hitch are maxed out. My bed rails are 55-1/2" when I drop the trailer on it

Thanks for the reply, is flipping the axles easy? Im trying to find out how to adjust the height using the existing shackles ( guess that what you call them).

So if you have 6in with that does that leave me with 1in?
