SO give it a try prior to trip. Best to find out now so alt. plans can be made.
Might want to throw rug over that register so the material on slide bottom does not have warm air blowing on it.
We have a magnetic sheet (craft store.....cut to fit) on register in kitchen floor and a throw rug over that cause register is in a stupid spot. Been that way for 7 yrs. no issues.
And we do run furnace when we travel in cold weather
