Since there does not currently seem to be a Jayco owners forum, Moderator Frank has graciously allowed this thread. It will be for discussing Jayco related questions and comments. Anything not Jayco related will be deleted. Sounds more than fair to me. Thank-you Frank!

loydt... Where is your 5ers suspension set to? I looks like you could come up even to be level. You must really have to crank the front up to get it off the truck and then drop it back down quite a way to level out.

As far as the distance between the wheels...have you measured the distance? I think you would have to see a difference of 1/2 to 3/4" or more to really make an alignment issue. Have you measured the difference from side to side?

Something just doesn't sound right here. The spacing between the tires is the same on mine ... !?!?

Just thought I'd throw in a few pics from the first trip. As you can see from the one that shows my combo, I will need to figure out a way to install some skid bars or wheels on the back to keep the rear landing gear from dragging!!

this is also what I was told when I asked why the blind instead of shades in our new one

Another reason would be for cleanliness, mini blinds being plastic can be wiped clean not so with day-night shades.:C

I have noticed that I have a chok that I have a definate left and right chock. I have the rotochoks. What I mean by fit better is that it stops in a better place to get the pin and lock in. The tires are so close that I have to have it were the lock is vertical or I can't get it in/out.

Well, back safe and sound from her first trip. Spent a long weekend in the Charleston area. Not a single issue, either. One thing I did notice that is strange is that I cannot get my tire chock to fit on one side of the unit. The tires on the driver's side seem to be closer together than they are on the passenger side? Does this mean I have an axle alignment issue? I did have to put that side up on a 2x8 to get level, but that should have no effect? The chocks I use are the BAL brand with the ratchet that expands them between tires.

I had the BAL wheel chocks for my old fiver and with the new Designer the spacing for the tires is only about 2" so I can't use those anymore...switching to RotoChoks as these work when you have a small space between the tires....

Ahagen,
Welcome aboard! Thermopane windows are a must. -40?? My freezer doesn't go that low. Now I know why a great number of y'all go south for the winter. That cold I'd guess it be good to have the spouse with ya too.
