Since there does not currently seem to be a Jayco owners forum, Moderator Frank has graciously allowed this thread. It will be for discussing Jayco related questions and comments. Anything not Jayco related will be deleted. Sounds more than fair to me. Thank-you Frank!

Mollyfluff,

Can't speak about the eagle as we never looked at. As far as rear stabilizers, like them. The Morryde suspension and pin box are a big positive. Definitely smooth out the ride, less tug on truck compared to previous rig. No problems with the Goodyears so far. We are very pleased with our Designer, have not found anything that we like better yet. Mine is an '08, so we ordered outside entertainment to get the speakers, can't speak on the '09's. If you have any questions about the Designer, let me know, and I will try to answer.

Oh, and the tires appear good to us. We've put about 11,000 miles on it with no visible wear. We use a Pressure Pro Monitoring system.

Sorry, Mollyfluff. Since this is our first RV, I left the comparisons to the others.

I can tell you that our 35RLTS pulls like a dream with the MOR ride pin box, the electric rear stabilizers are as easy as can be (if not a bit noisy at times) and we love our rig. It's been very good to us when we're not hitting things (like trees and metal pylons).

Folks....we are looking at possibly a 35RLSA. One question I have is on the 2009 models, do they have the outdoor speakers on them now? I didn't see it in the literature and I would really enjoy that on them as I now take along a radio to plug in outside. We are not sure between the 351 Eagle or the 35 Designer. One other question, is the difference in price to upgrade to the Designer well worth it in what you get?? I have been trying to find out all the differences in them, but thought I'd ask the "Experts" here. Thanks for your help.....Brian

After some more research, how do you like the electric rear stabilizers, the MOR Ryde pin box, and do they put good tires on this model?? Sorry for all the questions, but just curious if these are "must" haves. Thanks again.

Rob Fla... to answer your question, if no else has yet....

Jayco is one of the few entry and mid level (and now high end) RV manufacturers that do not, in fact restrict your warranty or deny claims if you mention the dredded words "full timing" or "living in it" as the other manufacturers out there would! I usually remind folks of this when thinking of buying their first Jayco for fulltiming. ๐Ÿ™‚ That and their 2 year warranty reinforces the fact that they stand behind their products!

If a thread is closed somewhere else and the OP from that thread did not come here ever AFTER being told why, there is no reason for someone else to repost their question. It they want it post it here, THEY can post it.

I have to watch the carpet going under sofa as we bring in slide. I have had to stop and push carpet down to go under sofa. Plan on having it adjusted next time at dealer. Also make sure you are bringing in slides in the order they are suppose to be.

Cruz, I wondered how you fairing when they cancelled the last round of the Pro-Am at Pebble Beach on Sunday. The weather at Monteray was totally wild and I was hoping you weren't caught up in it. Sorry to hear that you were but the good thing is that you're home safe.

Thanks for the heads-up about chain requirements. We're 2wd so looks like I'll be buying some chains for future winter travels.

There's an RV and Boat show on in town but nothing to see as nice or as functional in 5'ers as the 35RLTS (or, I imagine, the 35RLSA).

P.S. Retirement -162 days. This is the last February 18th I'll ever have to get up at -22 Celsius and drive to work in the dark.:B

It's good to hear you made it safe and the truck/trailer handled well.... I think I would have been a little chicken to make that drive.

Interestingly enough, the only clear sunny day of the whole darn trip WAS the day of the wedding !!

Wow ...

Just got home tonight from our trip to the Northwest coast ... and What a trip it was. (Daughter got married on Friday the 13th !)

Already mentioned the leaking A/C ...
on the trip home we got caught in a nasty Winter storm in Northern CA and were stuck on I-5 for FOUR HOURS in a snow storm Saturday night. I-5 was shut down for several hours and we were stuck in the middle of it all. Snow and ice just piled up all aroud us. When they re-opened it was under a "Chain Control" where you needed chains or 4x4 to get thru. We had no chains, but did have 4x4, so they let us thru. Couldn't believe how well the truck did pulling that trailer up and down those steep slippery grades.!! took another 2 hours just to get down off the mountain and out of the snow !! Hit a truck stop at 1am, put out just the bedroom slide, and hit the sheets !!

THEN on Sunday there was a small earthquake just east of Bakersfield as we were coming thru.
Needless to say, we're gonna sleep good tonight !!
