Since there does not currently seem to be a Jayco owners forum, Moderator Frank has graciously allowed this thread. It will be for discussing Jayco related questions and comments. Anything not Jayco related will be deleted. Sounds more than fair to me. Thank-you Frank!

I have a question for all of you 35RLTS owners... I live in Texas and it's starting to get warm. I think i'm having problems with my A/C units. My understanding (the same with my previos TT) is that when you close your vents to the A/C unit itself then it will automaticaly push a lot more air through the small round vents throughout the trailer. I feel no difference in air flow. Is this right? Also, are the ducts from the front to the back tied in with both A/C units. So if they are both on it should push even more air through the smaller round vents. I hope you guys have an answer. It's at the dealership right now getting looked at. Thanks in advance for your comments.

We chose the 35RLTS for the floor plan (L couch and rear entertainment ctr)and the private bath. We love this unit and yes, we researched this fith wheel to death. Well built, lots of room, both DW and DH agreed on 90% of it's options, nuff said. RVDirect saved us a few bucks too. Good Luck in your search.

looking for some pros and cons. i see a lot of jayco designer owners here. we are looking at 2 that it has been narrowed down to and can't decide, maybe some here that already own them can shed some pros and cons on either.
one is the new floor plan with the L couch and the entertainment center in the rear and the other is with the rear steps on a angle to the left going up to the bedroom and a all in one bath. any remarks would be appriciated. thanks

We used RV wax from camping world. Works OK, easier than the stuff I use on the cars. Think I'm going to have to make this an annual thing. 2 1/2 days to wash and wax (can't believe we had that many BUGS for only 1600 miles). I've informed the DW that we'll only be traveling in the rain from here on out, bugs can't swim ๐Ÿ™‚ ;).... This weekend is our first shot at dry camping with this camper, our "up to now" favorite hideaway on the Chesapeake Bay, we'll let y'all know how it turns out and post a pic when we return.

Eric, lot's of luck with your eye surgery. Yes, 46 is a bit young for that type of operation...we're same age and I just got lasik.

Washed the front half of the 5'r after Country Thunder (got a little muddy). Need to wash the back half now, and then wax it.
What wax did you use?

M GO BLUE - good luck on the surgery.

We haven't tackled the was and wax yet...our last fiver took us 3+ hours just to wax by hand...heck our truck takes us 1+ hours to wax...

Changed the oil in the genny and washed all the outside windows...heading out Friday and will be back Monday...

Next Tuesday I have cataract surgery on one eye and 2 weeks after that I have the second eye done...so we all know what will be on my mind this weekend...not supposed to happen to someone who is 46 years old is it? ๐Ÿ˜ž

I have been busy washing and waxing the rig this weekend for our trip this coming weekend. Alot of work, but it sure looks great. The gel coat really shines after a wax.

On the thermal pane windows, anybody else notice they leak? Just about every one of mine does. The felt track on the inside is wet after a good rain

I have them in my 328 RLS TT mine get wet also. You will find that the screws that holds the window slide stops will rust . I replaced all stop screws with stainless steel ones. I like the thermal pane windows over the single pane ones for sure.

We had 60mph rains this past Sunday (it was going sideways) and of course the 5vr was directly in it's path. :E Minor damage around the home front but everything concerning the trailer stayed nice and dry, DW did pickup a metal sliver when she ran her finger along the felt molding to check the window though. ๐Ÿ˜ž Now all we need to do is get all the blown leaves off of it. Good weekend to wash and wax her....

the trailer that is. ๐Ÿ˜‰

Yes... water will go both ways through those. It's not a big deal. It should never come out of the frame.

quick call to my dealer this morning and they said that is normal. There are tiny little holes where it will drain out.
