Fridge problems

What is the telltale sign that a fridge loses its coolant?
Working on a Dometic 2852 that goes through all functions, thermistor tests at 9300 ohms. Gas ignites. Fans come on. Was on electric when it was discovered it wasn't working. There is 120 to the board I believe.
I'm thinking it lost the ammonia coolant.
Are there any signs like a stain of some sort?
Thanks

If it has run off level much, it may be clogged up. If that happens, there's no amonia or other tell-tale signs.
I think you made the right choice.

Lot of OTHER components could be the issue vs cooling unit

Blown fuse(s)
Bad circuit board
Dirty burners
Bad spark electrode
Etc etc etc etc

Did you even go thru the troubleshooting guide in manual LINKED

Never mind.......

So going to your troubleshooting page you provided, copying and pasting the part that pertained to my issues, going through each one and testing the unit in each circumstance and still not finding an answer.

I am guessing here but you did not know the answer to your question. that is ok but you are going to install the rear cooling system yourself?

Could be internal contamination, a flake of rust or a little piece of solder floating around. One thing I've heard about is "burping" a fridge. Basically, remove the fridge, turn it upside down for 24 hours, then reinstall. It will either work, or it won't. If not, it's more'n likely toast. You can buy a replacement cooling unit for about $600-800, last I knew.

Ventilation yep, good breathing going on. Two fans running on and off via a thermostat
Leveling yep, its good.
Ambient Temperature about 68 outside
Air Leaks nothing to note
Thermistor checked. 9300 ohms
Cooling Unit ??? Don't know. Burner works. 120 element shows proper ohms.
I think I have everything but actual info on cooling unit. Thinking this is the problem and from what I've seen, not an inexpensive item to replace.

This, and you can smell ammonia, if it is leaking to the point of no longer cooling.

Lingering ammonia smell.....loss of DC......lack of cooling etc
