Has anyone put a cover across the front of the lower part of their fifth wheel trailer? I'm referring to the portion that is just above the jacks, and usually has a lift up door. Our new fifth wheel has been getting some rock chips in the gel coat due to debris thrown back by the tires. I'm trying Rock Tamer flaps, but haven't seen any difference so far. Travel trailers sometimes have diamond plate or Line-X in the same region. This finish is so slick, I'm not sure about the longevity of using a Rhino or Line-X product. Ideas???
I am pretty sure Line-X or Rhino won't stick without some pretty heavy duty surface roughening. That's not the type of modification I would want done to my rig.
Rivet a piece of the aluminum diamond plate over it.
