Generator assistance

I have a 2014 Sabre 5th wheel with 2 roof airs. This year we have decided to dry camp a lot. Is there a 240 volt generator that's fairly quiet (wont make my camping neighbors mad)that you could recommend? I want an stand alone generator. Or is there a way to daisy chain 2 smaller generators together? Thanks in advance.

I am guessing that the OP has a 50 amp shore power cord. He needs to understand that it is 120/240 four wire. He will need to get the proper genset adapter to go between twist lock on genset to the 50 amp cord

I had a Yamaha 6500 generator/inverter but it was only 30AMP outlet but was VERY quiet. It would not run both airs at the same time. We camp at a lot of Race Tracks in the summer and it's very hot in the camper and the one air does not cut it.

The only truly quiet generators that makes 240v are the Honda EU7000 or the Yamaha EF6300, they are both over $4,000. They are a magnificent generators, just heavy and expensive for "portable" use.
If you don't really need 240v (which you likely don't for an RV) then just about anybody's inverter generators in the 2,000 and 3,000 watt range can be connected together with the proper parallel kit.
There are no generators that are not inverter types that I would consider quiet enough for a campground. Even the quiet inverter generators are bothersome if people run them for hours on end.

I have a Champion 3100W inverter generator that has remote. It's quiet and does a nice job. With that being said, I don't know of any generator quiet enough to run it whenever you want while next to other campers. That's why most places have specific hours you can use a generator.

Honda makes a 7kw inverter generator. Pricey as hell. Alternatively, you can parallel 2 3kw generators together to give you enough load that you =should= be able to run both ACs at the same time. Honda, for sure, gives you auto-choke and wireless remote start; not sure about other brands.

I wish I had a heavy enough hitch on my FW to tow my dad's 25kw Multiquip with me. That thing, even at full song, isn't much louder than my Champion 2000 off eco mode. :B

Almost no RV's require 240 volts. A 50 amp service is two legs of 120 volts. An adapter to a 120 volt outlet will power both legs.

How many watts is the peak demand?

My choice would be a Champion 3400 watt inverter generator with remote electric start.
