Question all in the interest of trying to get the unit that best suits our all around needs Wife asked what I thought about a landmark I said hmm I know what it is and the price level it is in we are going to the rv show in Minneapolis in February so we hope to see it there. But what is the difference between the landmark and the riverstone models and other models in that level vs mid level units other then price? Is it just better quality sofa or bed or is it a completely different level of 5 th wheel? Thanks in advance for the answers.

Depending upon what brand you purchase, superior frame ( built in house are generally better than Lippert)....probably can have a fairly high tow rated receiver hitch, higher rated axles/brakes/tires/rims. thicker sidewalls with greater insulation, dual pane windows, better interior materials/workmanship, better grades of toilet/ faucets/ plumbing, thicker and better grade of floor and roof decking. These are but a few of the items that a “true” higher end unit can/will/should offer! Truly high end units are much more than “smoke and mirrors”, but cost accordingly. Also, generally weigh much more than a “wanna be” high end unit. So now...you must consider a tow vehicle up to the task. Older, well maintained, high end units can be had at very reasonable expenditures! You will have to be diligent in your research, be willing to travel, pass on several (possibly many) that do not meet your standards!

Mostly fluff on the inside. Frame will be the same though the higher end model might have better running gear. Springs are likely the same though. One might have a regular microwave while the up-market model might have a convection microwave. The up-market might have a larger water heater, a better AC unit, that type of thing.

More amenities . . more standard stuff as apposed to being an option... more fluff.. possibly better grade furnishings.. molded rear cap instead of flat back...

More bells and whistles, and maybe better furnishings and appliances. But don't bet on any better build quality.
