King Pin Adjustment

In my current configuration, the pin is bolted to the bracket with 5 bolts. It appears that if I were to raise it, I’d lose a bolt and have 4. Anyone using a 4 bolt attachment?

I don't understand the odd number of bolts in the first place. Mine had same number on both sides. It had four and still does after I changed it to a Reese Goose Box. Bolts torqued to 210# each. the 5th's gvw is 13,995#.

Try to find the model number. Normally stamped somewhere on box.
You have a prety big rig in profile.
I would be thinking at least five grade 8 bolts at a minimum.
New rig, I would call the factory or if you trust dealer call them.

Not sure what pin box or rig you are dealing with. Here is drawing of Lippert box bolting layout.

Can you identify size and strength of your existing bolts?

Mine is a Lippert but looks slightly different. It looks like image A but only has 6 holes rather than the 8.
