Looking for a fairly specific floor plan

Howdy folks,

We're currently in a beautiful couples TT and truly LOVE the floor plan, but the length is a bit of a hindrance on occasion... it's 34' bumper to hitch - add that to the length of our truck, and we're well over the 50' mark. Unfortunately, some of the camping sites we'd really like just can't quite accomodate that kind of length. 😞

So... to shorten the over length, we're thinking of moving up to a 5th wheel AND shortening the length of the unit to something in a 24-28 ft range. We'd really prefer a big kitchen, and as such figure a rear kitchen might be our best bet.

Any 5th wheels out there sound like they'd fit the bill? :h 24-28 ft overall length, FULL queen or king bed (not those dinky little short beds), LARGE rear kitchen, 8 cubic ft fridge.

Thanks!! That Rockwood looks very interesting... I like the idea of the big sofa instead of a dinette too. But what's with the goofy empty space just above the fireplace and below the mantle??

Sounds like you are looking for what is normally found in a 36 plus rig but you want it in a less than 30' 5er.

Not going to happen. Sq footage is sq footage. Compromises will have to be made if the priority is to stay small. That is all there is to it.

Top priority here was a large galley. In long term travel much time is spent in the galley. Getting that galley took us into the 34' range.

This is nice, but has that short queen bed... definitely need a regular length one.

I'm sure there's something out there that will make us take the leap. 🙂

I always liked the JAYCO home page... They have their floorplans and short trailer descriptions all one one page so you can compare with the different models...
