Hello, I'm new to this forum so please bare with me. I'm looking for help for installing unstalling-installing a microwave in my 2003 Medallion. I have installed a lot of microwaves in houses but I'm not able to find any screws in the overhead cabinet holding the microwave. Is there any help out there. Any help would be appreciated.:h

My Dometic over the range microwave bit the dust on me. Out of warrenty and because of age the manufacture didn't make it anymore. Are you going to have your microwave repaired by a professional? I found replacement parts for mine but opted out of self repair when I read that the capacitor in it stores a very high charge for a long time and can send you into the spirit world. I had to make my own shelf for support and buy one that fit in the space of the old one. My original was mounted from the back with 2 very long bolts that went to the front. Look through the front trim on yours with a bright light to see if you can see the mount bolts. I did loose the vent option with the way I did it. Also my bet is you will need another person to help remove old one. It was a very tight fit. Hope this helps.

Good luck.

My appliance store said that there were 2 diagonal screws angling upward front the lower front to the upper rear of the MW into brackets on the rear wall. True, but there were also 3 screws from the upper cabinet over the MW that were only accessible by removing the bottom of the upper cabinet, and there were also 2 diagonal metal brackets from the top of the MW to the rear wall. It took an hour with help.

I've heard that in a front end accident that you should lift your feet for the carnage to happen below you, and then duck before the microwave comes forward. Timing is everything. In my MH the MW is not coming forward.
