Movement between hitch and mounting rails.

I have a Pullrite model 2700 mounted on standard rails. I pull a 9,000 lbs 5th wheel. I can not get rid of the clunk between the rails and the hitch feet. I have tried several methods and can not correct the problem. It makes quite a clunk. I tighten the feet so I have no movement in the hitch. Then after towing I have the clunk back. I am cranking down on the feet bolts as tight as I can. I there a way to help this clunking or is this towing with a fifth wheel.

Thanks in advance

Try adjusting your brake controller so that there is a little more on the trailer brakes. A good friend of mine bought his 1st 5er last year and had the same problem with his Reese slider. He went back to the installer and they adjusted his brakes and that seemed to correct the problem.
