My Blue Ox gets a Blue Ox

I have a Blue '14 F-250 with the 6.2L Gasser. My toy Hauler is a Fun Finder XT276. Although light weight, when I got the two bikes, all the gear, food and a full water tank, I found the rear end to squat and the front end to feel pretty light going down the highway.

I started reading up on weight distribution hitches, and considered all of them. I checked out a couple of my neighbors set ups and they told me what they liked and disliked. I ended up with the Blue Ox SwayPro BXW1000, mainly because I liked the way the chain hook up worked and the fact that when you pulled the spring bars from the bar pivots, there was no grease that came with them. The anti sway bar pivots have a grease zerk for easy lubing.

Following the instructions, it took me about an hour to get completely set up. It was actually easier than I thought it was going to be. The trailer is now flat and the rear squat is about 1/4 of an inch. No more porpoise-ing, zero sway (didn't notice much without it though) and most important to me, the front feels planted.

One neighbor was shocked at how quiet it is when backing (zero noise). He says his pops and moans all the time. I also like the fact that is powder coated. Both of my neighbors are painted.

I'm pretty sure I would have been happy with which ever brand I would have purchased as I'm sure they would all have done the job.

I have it too since I have a heavy Tw. Only about 400 miles on so far and all is good. Powder coated and no noise is nice along with the zerks!

Please keep us updated as you put some miles on it! I'm mostly wondering how well it controls sway under adverse conditions.

I'm strongly considering that hitch for many of the same reason you did, and also because it's 1 of 2 hitches rated for 2,000 pounds tongue weight.
