2naEagle, is that an empty trailer or loaded lightly,or heavy? I am full timing in a 2014 Premier, no washer or drier, but we added 900lbs to the empty pin weight. My 16,000lb. hitch has a limit of 4,000 lbs for pin. Might need bigger hitch!
Thanks

PS> What was trailer weight when it left the Factory?

We bought our first Jayco (also a Northpoint) new last fall. So far we have had zero problems. This is our 4th 5er over the years previously owning Keystone, Forest River and Heartland products. The Jayco quality seems better than the others we owned. The 2 year warranty is also great.

This for you OP

My truck is a 2017 F350 SRW CCSB. I have a B&W RVK3300 and a RDS 50gal Auxiliary fuel tank. Full of fuel and hitch in.

F-4780, R-3720, G-8500

Trailer has Washer and Dryer (no gen). Now with truck and trailer fully loaded and ready to camp.

F-5000, R-7300, G-22940

That is a pin of 3800lb and total trailer weigh of 14440lb

The Truck pulls and handles the trailer very well no problem lots of power and stopping good also.

You just need to know that the numbers in the book just are not real life numbers.

The only way you will know for sure is to load it up for camping and weigh it. My Gateway is 14,215 lbs loaded (15.5k GVWR) and the loaded pin weight is 2450lbs. This put me under all Manufacturers weights on my 05 F250 (which mean almost nothing on an F250) except it was 15 lbs over the low 10k GVWR placed on 3/4 ton trucks. It towed/stopped great.

thanks to all.i have a 2013 f250 superdutydiesel, crewcab, firestone air bags and a 16k husky slider hitch. my 5er now is 9070# dry and pin 2040#. new 5er will cone in around 12250 # and pin is 2540.so i feel confident i will pull it ok.i truely enjoy all on this site.may our paths cross some day.if anyone is in michigan around ludington this year,we are camping at vacation station.stop by its a nice park.

It's not what you can tow/pull, it's what you can =carry=. With a FW with a 15,250 GVW, you're looking at about 3,500-3800 lbs on the pin, when fully loaded, and which you need to plan for. Even loaded to only 14k, you're looking at 3k-3.5k on the pin. This FW is firmly in 3500 country to safely tow, IMO. Could probably get by with a SRW, but a dually would be better. Don't forget you've also got to "carry" the hitch, passengers and "stuff", all of which takes away from your usable payload. A 2500, even a 2017 model, just doesn't have the payload to carry this one.

Jayco list over 15K for the GVWR. This is more than what any 2500 truck can handle. You can pull it but it would not be safe.

I have not put mine on the scales yet. I can assure you the pen is going to be more than that. I do have a washer and dryer. I will be weighing it late this week or next week and I will post the weight for you.

If we were to "upgrade" it would be the Jayco Eagle 293rkds. Patti has looked through everything we are aware of and this one has everything on our list but the third slide. Walked through one and we're impressed.

He's short on truck for a 15k 5th wheel. My 2 cents.
