Parts Procurement

Well...I finally tagged a tree after 12 years of owning the hauler. Hauler is a continental cargo w/ living quarters by forest river. All i need is the corner piece to get it fixed but two dealers advised the part isn't available from forest river. First pic is the undamaged driver side. The second is the damaged area covered w/ good ole duct tape.

Any advice from the hauler community?

Seattle is on your info.....

Just my opinion...

Call Allied body in South park, see if you can send pic and see what they say.
(Years ago I built a camper and they were able to get smaller "corner caps")

Heiser on Tukwila or Intl blvd (or what ever they call the street now) across the street from old Boeing headquarters (the old drive in before Boeing took it over)

Western trailer repair near airport and Lucille st ?

Allied body was more helpful when I was gathering parts, for me anyways.

And there is guy in south park (proper) that does crazy custom stuff, and charges crazy also:)

Hard to match up sometimes if ordering online, but maybe this will help.

I think the following might work. Seattle is home base, but currently in the San Jose, CA area for a few months.

Appreciate the input!

Update: Got it fixed! The ebay part for a pontoon boat indicated above worked. Spent some time grinding and drilled a few holes and it fit like glove.

Thanks for the input everyone!

I would try a local heavy truck trailer place or even a truck body dealer / body repair shop a lot of these cast corner pieces are somewhat generic across manufacturers.

Got 'em.

Looks like a pretty simple piece of angle aluminum/stainless. How far down the side toward the front does it go? Looks fairly easy to fabricate one since you have the other to use as a template.

Haven't took the measurements, but I am willing to say that it is symmetrical.

I would go to a local metal shop. It should be an easy piece to make.

Going that route was also a consideration.
